U.S., Iraqi Officials Fear 'Spectacular' Attacks
BAGHDAD, Iraq A U.S. general and Iraq's interim leader offered separate warnings about the very real prospect that more deadly attacks would come before the Iraqi elections on Jan. 30.
"I think a worst case is where they have a series of horrific attacks that cause mass casualties in some spectacular fashion in the days leading up to the elections," Air Force Brig. Gen. Erv Lessel told The Associated Press in an interview Friday.

To be honest, I am kind of out of the loop with regards to this stuff right now...
I have noticed that there seems to be a bit of a power struggle between Zarqawi and the other bigs of AQ. I strongly believe he will be the next to take credit for a large scale attack (ala Madrid, or bigger). Though, I would not be surprised to see Iraqi elections held without much of a problem...
