London (KurdishMedia.com) 04 January 2005: Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whom the US occupation authorities have declared to be "target number one" in Iraq, has been arrested in the city of Baakuba, according to local Kurdish media.
Al-Zarqawi, leader of the radical Islamic group Al-Tawhid Waal-Jihad, whom the U.S. put a bounty of US$10 million, was recently appointed the director of the Al-Qaeda organisation in Iraq.

Probabilities are decreasing that this is true. Al-Zarqwai reportedly released a statement after the assination of the governor in Bagdad. Both cannot be true. Could be rumor based upon the recent arrest of a very senior Al-Z official. Nothing new in the media today. The whole affair appears to be a false alarm and false hope.
