OSAMA HUNT EXPANDED INTO CITIES
January 4, 2005 -- WASHINGTON U.S. intelligence agencies have expanded the search for Osama bin Laden to Pakistani and Afghan cities after analysts became convinced he has moved from the mountains to an urban environment, The Post has learned.
Officials said they still have no solid leads as to the whereabouts of the al Qaeda leader, whose last confirmed sighting was in the battle of Tora Bora in December 2001.
But counterterrorism officials said the shift from the remote mountainous badlands along the Afghan-Pakistan border which has been the central focus of a three-year manhunt to more urban areas was prompted by new intelligence analysis of the three most recent bin Laden video and audio taped messages.
A task force assigned to capture or kill bin Laden is made up of U.S. Special Operations commandos, CIA spies and FBI agents.

Well, very good.
In my opinion, searching homes and apartments in the area is long overdue.
