The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

WASHINGTON - A terrorist attack on a tanker loaded with liquefied natural gas could cause massive damage a third of a mile away and could send a vapor cloud billowing more than 1.5 miles, government scientists say.

With the the nation clamoring for more natural gas, policy-makers are trying to figure out how to safely import large quantities of liquefied natural gas or LNG.

HG...I second appalachian_dweller's suggestion to report this incident. You could call FedEx and let them know of your sighting. Most of these over-the-road carriers are very well computerized. So if you give them the time, name of the highway and the description, they may easily be able to trace this truck.

Besides the missing FedEx truck, over the last two years there have been missing tankers, ambulances, police-type cars, delivery trucks, park police vehicles, etc. Part of the AQ handbook on terrorism is info. on how to "blend-in".

Underground Explosion in Center City (Philadelphia, PA - 1/13/05)

January 13, 2005 — Firefighters in Center City are investigating an underground explosion. It happened around 5:00pm on 16th between JFK Boulevard and Arch.

The explosion blew two covers off of manholes. One person was hit. The victim is at Hahnemann Hospital.

Saw this right before signing off.

There sure are a lot of these underground explosions lately. I couple of years ago it was happening all over the Georgetown area in DC.

It's difficult for me to accept that this is just a maintenance issue. Too many too often. It's getting suspicious. /tinfoil/

Thanks ad....two Con-Ed workers were killed in NY this past summer by underground blasts....one man was critically injured in the Boston area this past summer by a flying manhole cover...and there have been numerous incidents. There were incidents in IN, MI and MD in just this past week. Also the blast at a Chicago Mall last night. At some point the dots do start to connect...tinfoil or not.

Indianapolis Power & Light Co. crews on Sunday began inspecting underground electrical lines, hoping to prevent more Downtown explosions.

Market Street between Capitol Avenue and Illinois Street will remain closed to vehicles and pedestrians indefinitely while IPL and city investigators probe the cause of Saturday's blasts, said Steve Campbell, a spokesman for Mayor Bart Peterson.

"The good news is that there doesn't appear to be a gas leak," he said.

Unlikely to be terrorism-related I would think - too much like "retail" level activity rather than the more effective "wholesale" activity that they'd probably rather undertake.

It is however one of a number of ruses used by thieves or scam artists to gain access to your home or your identity in order to steal something ......

Call me a conspiracy nutcase or whatever, but in my SPIRIT, I have felt he is being defeated by the demons, although he may not realize it. Even with his immigration policy [NONE] he is in big trouble with me and a lot of others.

You are not alone Indie. The immigration issue is on the boiling point with many of us. Speaking of conspiracies, I posted on JP's No Escape a list of people who were politically active and quite influencial who "committed suicide" or died young fairly recently. Of course they were labeled "depressed," however, there is much debate about each of their deaths.

IMHO, sooner or later, there will be radioactive mushroom clouds over the entire ME region. We really need to start drilling ANWAR and uncap the wells in the contiguous 48. The sooner we become independent of ME oil the better.

What, and risk depleting them before that happens? There's something to be said for keeping them in reserve - granted that if that happens there would be dislocations while they were being drilled.

One of my schoolteachers many decades ago told us that all governments use "propaganda," even ours. It was one of those statements that stays with you the rest of your life. Question is, who is on the receiving end of it? (tinfoil applied - awaiting reality check)!
