I just traded in a Subaru Forrester. Had it for 3 years. Worst car I have ever had. Rear seal, front seal, broken struts, everything you can imagine. You would not believe how bad the windshield was pitted after only 25000 miles. O2 sensors lasted about 6 months. A real piece of feces. I could go on. Everyone says they are great cars. Well, maybe they were in the 1980s, but everybody I know thats bought one in the past five years knows what a piece of crap they really are.

Yeah, and what's with Lance Armstrong endorsing them?

Don't tell me he's a closet gay... (!!)

"I just traded in a Subaru Forrester."

My aunt, who had owned 3 Camry's before, bought a Forrester. She said how much she loved her new vehicle. One day the other managers at her place of work called her to go to a window over looking the parking lot.

Her new Forrester was in flames. She doesn't smoke so it wasn't a case of a misplaced cigarette. Subaru could not explain it. She took her settlement and bought another Camry.

They weren't much better back then. My daughter bought a '82 Subaru to drive to college. It was used but had very low mileage on the clock. She was stranded on the interstate numerous times with various mechanical problems as she drove back and forth to USF at Tampa. After I had to drive 120 miles round trip to pick her up the last time it quit on her I told her she had to get a dependable car even if I had to pay for it.

A little later I had to drive it to Daytona Beach and back to take some stuff to my son who was attending ERAU there. That had to be the most uncomfortable automobile trip of my entire life. That car was a real nightmare from almost any point of view.
