While all Americans enjoy civil rights, civil rights organizations like the NAACP and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) are hitting speed bumps. According to Joseph Perkins of the Joplin Globe in Missouri, as the black population has doubled, both organizations have suffered from declining membership.
Kweisi Mfume resigned as President of the NAACP and Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth resigned his post with the SCLC, complaining that, "deceit, mistrust and a lack of spiritual discipline and truth have eaten at the core of this once-hallowed organization."
While these organizations have increasingly become stooges of the Democratic National Committee, more than one million blacks voted to re-elect the president. Furthermore, Perkins cites a Newsweek poll which indicates that two-thirds of blacks favor school vouchers, a Pew Research Poll indicating that two-thirds of blacks oppose gay marriage, and a Zogby poll which shows that more than half of blacks support Social Security personal accounts.
Meanwhile, as the Bush Administration has aggressively promoted more qualified minorities than any previous president, the NAACP's Julian Bond denounced Bush as the leader of a party that appeals to the "dark underside of American culture."
When the national media savaged both Dr. Condoleezza Rice and Justice Clarence Thomas, where was the NAACP? Evidently, they're chiefly concerned with the advancement of LIBERAL black people.

Hey: Ya gotta give it to this guy , he is right, These organisations have been deceived by the race baiters, They cant trust their own leadership And they certainly cant believe their leadership.
Spiritual Discipline? I suppose he describes that as blindly following whoever leads them and blacks are waking up and thinking for themselves these days.Yes the blind following is a thing of the past for any black person who thinks for themself.

NAACP and SCLC are traitorous, deceitful field hand foreman herding the slaves on the democrat party plantation. Their massa's voice comes dictates directly from the DNC. They have no credibility.
The capper was during the campaign when Kerry and liberal black pastors stood up in church and urged the parishoners to 'ignore their Christian values for the moment and vote for John Kerry'. That went over like a lead balloon.
Bond, Sharpton, and Jackson were all preaching this line, AND THE LATTER TWO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE REVERENDS!!
I guess the race card has been played out. Seeing Condi Rice just a few heartbeats from the White House is putting an end to the old mantras of racism being the never-ending story for the race-baiters.
America has moved past racism. Most blacks have, too. Can't we all just move along?

This bears repeating. Racists are a minority in America. Attempts to reverse racism against white people are beginning to hit their maximum penetration in our society. The moderate and truly tolerant moderate America just needs to get its butts in gear and realize that the Democratic Party is a circus house of clowns, and that it is no longer the proud mainstream party of yester-century.
