LIFE WITH BIG BROTHER. People-tracking closer to reality.

Setting the stage for controversial tracking technology, the satellite telecommunications company ORBCOMM has signed an agreement with VeriChip Corp., maker of the world's first implantable radio frequency identification microchip.

VeriChip, a subsidiary of Applied Digital, will work with ORBCOMM to develop and market new military, security and healthcare applications in the U.S. and around the world, the company said.

As WorldNetDaily reported, Applied Digital has created and successfully field-tested a prototype of an implant for humans with GPS, or global positioning satellite, technology.

Once inserted into a human, it can be tracked by GPS technology and the information relayed wirelessly to the Internet, where an individual's location, movements and vital signs can be stored in a database for future reference.

"ORBCOMM's relationship with VeriChip provides yet another new and important industry that will use the ORBCOMM satellite system and its ground infrastructure network to transmit messages globally," ORBCOMM CEO Jerry Eisenberg said.

Initially, after privacy concerns and verbal protests over marketing the technology for government use, Applied backed away from public discussion about such implants and the possibility of using them to usher in a "cashless society."

In addition, to quell privacy concerns, the company issued numerous denials, stating it had no plans for implants.

When WND reported in April 2002 that the company planned such implant technology, Applied Digital spokesman Matthew Cossolotto accused WND of intentionally printing falsehoods.

Less than three weeks later, however, the company issued a press release announcing that it was accelerating development on a GPS implant.

I like this idea of planting a chip in criminals, it could be used to allow us to place non-violent criminals on the street , working instead of living of the taxpayers. But I cant imagoine the ACLU allowing it. Although I am certain the ACLU wouldnt mind all of us who arent criminals getting it.

As an electronics engineer I find this very difficult to believe.

Every RFID implant I have ever read about is a passive transponder. They are activated by a strong magnetic field which gives them just enough power to radiate back a unique ID.

The receiver must be in close proximity to the device,
usually a couple of inches.

Passive transponders simply would not have enough power to send a signal any distance.

Folks, this has been in the works for a LONG TIME!!

Fact is, almost EVERYONE is already tracked, just not with their own GPS implanted device, YET!

There is a code section, that was DRAMATICALLY expanded under the Klinton Administration, 42 USC 651 - 669 (including section 666 which ironically contains most of the substance).

Under the PRETENSE OF "CHILD" SUPPORT, every state in Amerika is required by FEDERAL LAW to report on every employee of every company and along with that, to report EVERY American's:

Utility bills and companies (Gas, electric, phone, etc)
Professional licensure organizations
Fishing and hunting licenses
Driver's Licenses
Cable TV companies
Banks
etc., etc., etc.

And this federal LAW applies to EVERYONE! And I mean EVERY AMERICAN WHETHER THEY ARE 85 AND STERILE, OR A NEWBORN FROM THE HOSPITAL!!! SO MUCH FOR THE LIE ABOUT IT BEING FOR "CHILD SUPPORT"

The state's requirements are that they are to tie all of this data into a CENTRAL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DATABASE, including a system called the "parent locater"...

Guys, the Mark is QUICKLY approaching, and it's being done right in front of every American in this country.

Just remember, "it's for the children"...

Take our cash, take our guns and take our privacy and we exit "stage Left". Yes, this mark has been possible for some time and it's implementation IS "just around the corner."

The receiver must be in close proximity to the device, usually a couple of inches.

So they could be embedded in the hand or forehead and be read by every point of sale device which would provide the power to operate.

I've been following Applied Digital and it's subsidiaries for several years now.

The farthest distance I've seen claimed is 10 feet, and that was in conjunction with the tracking of salmon implanted with the microchip.

They also have walk through devices for livestock with a range of 12" - 18".

The PLD (personal location device), which is the size of a pacemaker, is still in the development stage. It does not have FDA approval, nor has it been applied for.

Yeah. I read about their prototype. It's actually battery powered and not purely passive.

It appears that they are talking about shrinking the prototype to half the size of a pacemaker.

Still needs to have the battery recharged via induction.

Even at that size it would need minor surgery to implant.

Not exactly something Big Brother is gonna sneak up with in the middle of the night and inject under your skin.
