Jesus was a beautiful gift to this world. He said his followers would suffer, and they have, and do, and will. The hardest part of what Jesus taught was to turn the other cheek, and to love your enemy.
It seems every Christian knows and understands the wisdom and spiritual necessity of turning the other cheek, and of loving your enemy. But those are not things which are easily effected.
The easy part of what Jesus taught, is to refrain from the things we would never intend to do anyway, and to condemn people who do them, as if we have the right to cast the first stone. That is spiritual pride.
One ultimate lesson of Jesus, is to teach by example. His death was teaching by example. He promised a reward for sacrifice, doing the hard thing.
In our dealings with others, are we scourgers, whippers, condemners, accusers, crowners, ridiculers, debasers, mockers, spitters, burden-givers, terrifiers?
Everyone wants to upset the changetable. What else do they want to do?

"For unto us a Child is born. Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder, and His name will be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end."
I'm happy to see the push to end Christianity and Christmas and all the things we love about our faith.
The vermin have finally come out in the open.
For many years there have been incremental steps taken to abolish our religion, and the insidious creep to destroy the core of our society has gone unnoticed by the majority of people.
I see God's hand in this.
We are seeing the beginnings of a backlash which will restore our God and our faith to it's rightful place in our society.
Please, dear Lord, let it be so.

There was I guy I knew (he's a Christian now) who believed in God, but did not know if Jesus was the Son of God. I asked him why he celebrated Christmas. He answered that he enjoyed spending time celebrating with his family. Also, even if he was unsure if Jesus was the Son of God, he did wish to honor him for his teachings and for being a good man.
