You go, girl.

I am a single, professional female. A scientist. I have published extensively (well, for the stage I'm at in my career, anyway) under my maiden name. I've done well enough that my name is recognized within my field, at least among those working on a similar problem. If and when I marry, I will keep my maiden name because I dislike hyphenation. To hell with anyone who has a problem with it.

Thanks closet freeper.

I didn't marry until I was 32.

I don't understand fellow conservatives that can't appreciate women who've accomplished a lot under their maiden names, and continue to use that name in a hyphenated fashion after they're married.

Be it scientific publications, televisions shows, you name it; I believe it's legitimate to let the world know of your accomplishments under your hyphenated, or maiden, name.
