Those 8 votes was not the final count before the 700. That was just a projected lead based on what they had counted so far.

They were doing everything to get the word out that they had won before they actually have won.

What a different take it is, that 42 votes was "a virtual tie" but 8 (projected) votes, with at least one court case pending, is a WIN. a-MAY-zing.
