You've already voted in those places if you voted in WA.

The problem is, those countries run better elections than the state of WA.

>>I hope the republicans had a US-SC appeal locked and loaded.<<

I would count on it. And I expect we will get a "run-off" election to finalize this thing.

What a banana republic....don't know which is worse, Oregon or Washington...economy stinks in both and I'm stuck living in both.

I'm a Rossi (R) supporter, but I hope he concedes unless thay have solid evidence against the dems. A hand recount is allowed by state law, so I don't want to hear the pubbies bitching about it unless they have proof of malfeasance.

In my opinion, the best thing to do is to walk away, holding your head high.

This is what Thune did in his previous US Senate run, which he lost under suspicious circumstances.

The SD voters rewarded him in this last election with the win over Daschle.

It's the "last man standing" rule.

Pulling votes out of their you-know-whats doesn't qualify as fraud?

Did they hand recount all counties or just selected ones?

They have proof. The Democrats are involved. That's all the proof you need.

This measn the Dems get their $700k back..and the GOP has to contest the election as the "loser"..let's wait for all the dems to start calling for closure..

Wait? They called for Rossi to concede last night.

So do these 700+ ballots have to be counted now? If so, why are the dems and the news already declaring Gregorilla the winner?

A runoff?

Under state law, if petitioned, the court can throw out the results of an election if there has been such gross incompetance or fraud that the result cannot be trusted. But that's as far as the court's authority goes.

From that point on, the rest is up to the legislature. The legislature would have to set the date of a new election and set up the ground rules. For example, should the revote be a complete rerun with all candidates or a runoff with only the top two? Should the new election be coupled with vote reform, such as tightening up the rules for absentee ballots, abolishing provisional ballots and requiring picture ID at the polling place?

There would be a lot to do. Lt. Gov. Brad Owen would be acting governor until this could be all sorted out.

Hmmmm - could it be that they know who cast those votes? Nah - couldn't be.

I forget the phrase, but can the trail of these newly found votes be certified as having no room for fraud?

It's fraud only if you can show it as such. The dems claim they won by 8 votes without the disputed 700+ King County ballots. If so, then other fraudulent stuff must be demonstrated in order to justify taking this to the feds.
