"Beautiful. No surprise its called "The Dreamliner" It really does look like a dream."
Rumor is they may rename the 7E7 dreamliner to the 787. Partially because it's in line with Boeings traditional naming convention and, since the number 8 is considered good luck in China, it may help sell the aircraft there.

It makes good sense to call it the 787. It gives them the option of continuing the series either as
(787, 797, 7A7, ... 7F7) or
(787, 797, 807, 817, ...).

The first option if you like hex, and the second option if you like beer (obscure ham reference there).
