Professor Glendon is the Learned Hand Professor of Law at Harvard Law School...she is the President of the Pontifical Academy for Social Sciences...she led the delegation of the Holy See to the Beijing Conference on Women.

She is an expert on International Law and Human Rights and has written perhaps the most respected book on the History of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights....

She has led a diplomatic delegation and has earned respect among Islamic, South American, and African nations....

She is intelligent and conservative. She would be a great voice for America at the United Nations!

i nominate howdy doody. they're all a bunch of clowns over there and i am reluctant to add anything of credibility. don't forget the image of bill clinton as secretary general.

they ought to simply vacate and give turtle bay back to the turtles.

I would have liked to see her as the next Bush's appointment to the Supreme Court: a woman and a conservative!

I'm not sure she'd be able to suffer the fools at the UN, but she'd be a great choice!

Sounds like a great person - so what do you have against her by suggesting she to that sordid eating club called the UN?

What's her stance on gun rights? Seeing as IANSA wants to push a worldwide gun control scheme through the UN, it would require the veto of the US to keep it from coming to fruition. If she is a staunch supporter of the US 2nd Amendment, hunter's rights, concealed carry and personal protection rights and the rights of the homeowner to property and life, then she's got my vote.

If she so much as utters a word about "assault weapons" bans, magazine caps, animal rights or gun registrations, I hope she (or whomever is chosen for UN rep) goes down in a ball of flames.
