Maybe BOTH sites are the right ones - one was the wedding, and the other the reception...

This is a good story, but I seriously doubt it.

I...see....

The found common stone jars, on a site which could possibly have been Cana, or maybe not.

Why would you even bring Jesus into it?

Alexander believes that with more substantial investment, the site could became a major tourist attraction and pilgrimage destination.

Ah. Say no more.

Wow, thanks for the post! :-)

Although, I've always found it odd that some Christians think that alcohol is evil. It would make this miracle of Jesus appear to be an evil as well. Why would Jesus multiply and freely distribute that which is evil? It would be like Jesus handing out pornography at a bachelor party; the belief doesn't make sense...

Um, if they found the site of his first miracle, wouldn't they have to believe that a miracle was performed, and become Christian?

According to many Southern Baptists, it was water-to-grape-juice...

No kidding. The reinvention of the Holy Land as the Holy Land Experience will be a big draw for visiting "Judeo-Christians" primed for a shrink-wrapped religious theme park. All of their pre-approved bottons will be pushed.

After reading all the religious concerns over the vintage of wine, grape juice, why HE had to perform the miracle, Seders, weddings, Passovers, why the Jews who wrote of the discovery didn't become Christians etc...I am opening up a good bottle of Bushmill's 10 Year Old, Single Malt Irish Whiskey. I promise not to drink to excess, I'll stick to one bottle.

"Proof"? Bah. Who needs it? I don't need no steenkin' proof. Faith is proof enough.

For that matter, Israel -- the fact that it even still exists -- is proof enough.

Christian theologians attach great significance to the water-to-wine miracle at Cana.

Marry-Weddings!

Marraige was the miracle GIFT from God miracle......it was Adam and Eve!

Wheeeeew!

LOL

Merry Christmas.......the miracle in the MANGER in Bethleham!!!......Micah 5:2......GPS positioning!

I certainly hope they drank alcoholic wine, and not just grape juice, at the wedding feasts in Jesus' time.

I don't drink wine, but if I lived back then, I certainly would have imbibed a little.

Who would want to drink the non-alcoholic juice of grapes that have been stomped on by bare human feet? :-)
