Some people just don't deal well with the fact that there are opinions out there different from their own. Their answer? Boycott!!! That'll show 'em! I'm sure that Target will shake in its boots over a half dozen angry conservatives talking about not shopping at their store for a week or two, or until they forget about it.
Now, if people were really serious about making a difference, a well-thought out (and handwritten) letter to the C-O 's and directors of the company, stating the problem specifically, and suggestions to remedy it, will get a whole bunch of attention. Don't ask me why handwritten letters get more attention.....they just do. Might be because it shows the person is interested and not just cut-and-pasting off of some web site.
Try it, it works.
Makes sense. You have to pick your priorities I suppose. Right now all my letter writing is targeting my daughter's school for its farce of a holiday concert. I have written the principal, school superintendent, and music teacher over the fact that there were no Christmas songs, but instead songs in English and Spanish about peace, made up by the music teacher. She wore a islamic symbol on a sash, a menorah, but no cross. And they sang about a peaceful ramadan, but no Christmas. Anyway, I can only handle one issue at a time or I'd burst a blood vessel. Thanks, though.
