I think my exact words were, "indifferent, at best," meaning I gave you the benefit of the doubt, e.g. perhaps your crowing about continuing to shop there could be for some then-yet-undisclosed reasons (now we know).

I ignored the "at best", giving you the benefit of the doubt. I've made my affiliation a secret to no one, on any of the threads on which I've responded. The fact that I'm "outting" myself here should be representative of that fact-- not some great "police work" on your part.

I don't see it as a conflict of interest anymore than defending Christianity would be a conflict of interest for me. I happen to have some particular insight to share on this subject and am doing so. You wouldn't deprive me of that would you?

Frankly, it doesn't matter to me why Target told the SA to stay away. Target did; its competitors didn't. As I posted in that previous thread, if the day comes when the SA is banned from all or even most of Target's competitors, I might start shopping at Target again.

Keep watching the news. BestBuy is considering the same decision (or might have recently). I guess I should also disclose that I've contracted for Best Buy in the past as well, and still have employee/friends there, lest I again be accused of being less-than-truthful.

This is another unfortunate trend in America. The corporation gets threatened into submission by suit, and then gets blamed by the consumer.

Stop it! You're breaking my heart. When, like Target, you act like a spineless wuss, expect to receive a publc flogging.

Thanks for the heads up.

From MSNBC

Target isn't the only chain that prohibits solicitation. You won't find bell ringers at Best Buy, Home Depot or Barnes and Noble either.

I had a long, point-by-point response all ready to post to you. But, what's the use? Although I can't find a cause for it, your last post to me was extremely defensive. Maybe it's because of what others have said to you on this subject.

Regardless, I'm content in my position.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
