Some Ex-General on FOX News said it was a 122MM Katusha rocket that "got lucky", detonated on the roof of the tent, and showered the 400-some Diners with shrapnel.
Could be... I still have my doubts.
But having 400 personel all packed in to a confined space with apparently NO cover whatsoever within easy mortar or rocket range of an Enemy who lurks just outside the perimeter (assmunig one of 'em didn't sneak in disgused as a "friendly") who has been lobbing ordnance in on you regularly for about a year just seems like incredulous incompetence on the part of someone somewhere in the command structure.
So far according to local news two Members of the 133rd KIA.

I totally agree with you Uncle Jaque. I have been feeling that our guys have been in very vulnerable positions for some time. I just have kept my thoughts to myself.
Thanks for the update.

IMO, every encampment should be surrounded by a 3-5 mile diameter cleared kill-zone. Take 500 bulldozers and just scrape everything from the ground within this radius and push the garbage into a ditch. Then call in Apache and A-10 airstrikes and use flamethrowers on anything that moves within that space.
