Can't fault Omar for taking advantage of a target-rich environment I suppose... but I for one sure hope that the Officer who just handed it to him on a silver freaking platter feels good about themselves tonight.

If we look like we are at war by preparing our bases for a war environment as you say then it does not look so good to the folks back home? That is the only thing I can think of to justify this lack of preparedness if it is not incompetence.
