Drugs in the same class as Modafinil usually interfere with insulin secretion and raise blood sugar levels. I just wonder if Modafinil does the same.

It is probably like weed or crack. It just makes them think they are smarter. This is why the Rats do things that are completely stupid and think it is brilliant.

Lately I have begun to think that the memory problems of older age, not altzheimers, but the benign memory problems are prettty nice in a way. It is a relief not to have to remember so damn much. And much of what we remember is unpleasant if you ask me. And why do we really need to know where the car keys are? We can all just stay home, drink coffee and read a good book. Sometimes you get to read it twice if you forget what it was about.
I do believe intelligence matters: My ten year old daughter's best friend is autistic...Asberger syndrome, and tests at a genius level.
Her family are avowed leftist Quakers, except for this ten year old who is an avid internet news reader and drives her family crazy with her republican rants.
She also does this at her public school and is excused because of her autism. Though I know it drives most of her lefty teachers crazy.
