Another trial attorney Christmas dream come true.

Don't know how anyone could take it for more than ten days. It tears my stomach to pieces by the second day.

Naprosyn and Anaprox were regularly prescribed in the Othopedic surgeons' office I worked for. They (the patients) were always told of dosage duration by the physicans and then again on the label of the bottle prescribed. I'm sick of having to baby every grown up too stupid to read. Do they work as anti-inflammatories? Most certainly. Are they meant to be taken like Flintstones vitamins given to a three year old? Gee, I think not.

The FDA can take a flying 'Ef' at the moon. I get up in the morning, I hurt, I take naproxen, I'm fixed. Stomach pains or bleeding don't seem to be a problem, at least not for me. Tylenol wasn't supposed to be good for you either, messed up the liver or sumpin.

I had an internist tell me once that his recommendation for OTC pain relief was to mix medicines so as not to build up a tolerance and to "bomb" it with 2-3 times the recommended dosage (the recommended dosage is what they put on the bottle so practically anyone will have no adverse reactions but it is often not enough to effectively deal with the pain).

IOW, take 2-6 ibuprofens one day, 3-4 naproxins the next day, 2-6 tylenols the day after, etc. That way, you get the maximum out of each medicine without suffering from their longterm problems.

I must add, of course, that I am not a medical professional and the recommendation is for general pain, not intense pain.

i'm cooked i guess. i really depend on naproxen for pain relief from arthritis. was taking bextra but gave it up. darn.

i thought i read somewhere, however, that naproxen was to be taken with bextra as it has asprin-like effects in helping the heart??

or maybe that was wine taken with bextra? that i could live with...

These anti-inflammatories sure do work well on my pain...and then they leave gaping holes in my stomach. I don't know how anybody can take enough of this stuff to get the heart problems.

They're a day late and a dollar short on this. Those they characterize as "quacks" quacked about this stuff a long, long time ago.

Problem is, with the research out there now and available on the internet more people than ever are listening and discovering the verity of what is said.
