What a stupid lawsuit. Principals should be able to send home anyone who shows up dressed inappropriately for a school function, too bad that action isn't taken more often. Whatever happened to common sense?
The irony is that this stunt reinforces the stereotype of the Dixie-fanatics being a bunch of obsessed and wound-too-tight goofballs.
I thought it reinforced the stereotype of school principals having very small penes.
So your a obsessed goof-ball if you are proud of your heritage? I really don't understand that. I am a southern girl, myself. Not that old at all. Twelve years of age. I completely agree with Jaqualine. Why should she have to stand for that? If someone wore a Irish flag would they send her home? I don't think so. If someone has a problem with the Confederate flag and think it is racist to wear it they clearly are in need of a history lesson.
The confederates asked to leave because they did not believe in what the union was doing. Lincoln said no so they fought to leave. Slavery was not in the picture until Lincoln lied about it and said it was. Honest Abe, my ass. And as far as the KKK is concerned they had another flag and then the people they stole it from took it back so they were left with nothing. We were down so they took our flag. Different set of people. Different reasons for use of the flag. Jaqualine was using the flag for the right reason. She was using it for the War Between the States. when the union rapped the confederate wives, lied to our kids, and burned our houses. Silent tears would fall but we stayed strong and kept fighting.
Goof balls, are we? i think you just got schooled by a twelve year old. Who is the goof-ball now?
Sounds like you know didly squat about southern heritage.
