Thank you for posting that picture.
I've saved it to keep with my prayer list.
Prayers for Matt and his family!
Prayers for Matt and his family.
When I first read this I was thinking that things aren't going to turn out the way I would like them to. But then I was reminded of the Elizabeth Smart case, where I was thinking that she wasn't alive either.
A former boy scout of mine that is now a Marine will be flying home from Japan on leave. I get to go with his Mom to pick him up at the airport tomorrow. I will have a box of klennex ready for both of us.

Graybeard58, My prayers go up for this hero, and his family. God's protection over your him. Lord, please protect this soldier. Surround him with a hedge of protection. Provide his family with comfort and peace. Surround them with your love. Bring him safely home to his family. In Jesus' precious name. Amen

If you want on/off my prayer ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
Look at the picture you posted and then scroll back to post 20 and look at Matt. I see a resemblance. Do you?
Thanks for posting that pictuire. it has great relevance to this article and when I post about Matt in the future I would like to use it if it's ok with you.

It's hard enough spending Christmas without a son whom you know is alive and well and in harm's way, but this................unthinkable pain.
My intense and fervent prayers for Matt and his family during these dark and difficult days. May God wrap His loving arms around them every moment of every day!
Thank you for the address. The project they're doing is a wonderful and worthy cause, the fact that they didn't ask for money or donations is one of the reasons I'm interested in giving. Their objective is truly to serve the military and not to seek praise for themselves.
Thank you so much for this thread, Graybeard. I prayed for him so much when he was captured--and it's important to keep doing so.
I cannot imagine the pain and suffering his parents are feeling right now.
Bartonville, that's right outside of Peoria where my hubby's unit, the 106th AVN(Chinooks)...they are now home from Iraq.... This poor family, I just don't know how they do it....I don't think I could be so courageous...prayers for Matt and his family.
Prayers for Matt and his family. My heart breaks for his family.
My son just returned from Iraq, he's with the 724th in Bartonville and lives in E.Peoria. I am in N. Pekin.
Im outside Decatur, but my hubby is the 1sg for the 106th F Co in Peoria.....tell your son, Welcome Home...
(Our son has been home since April).
Prayers for Matt and his family. God bless and keep them!
Praying for Matt's safety and his family's comfort!
Thanks for posting this about the Maupins. I can't even imagine how they must make it through each day!
Prayers for all our service men and women!
P.S. I love President Bush's joke about Rip Van Winkle. Sometimes a little humor can relieve a big burden, if only for a short while.
The President doesn't have to say it at each news conference, to know the military is doing all they can to find Matt Maupin.
