thanks, TexKat.

I have been in contact with some USO people regarding designated donations for a specific location, such as Korea. I was informed:

"If donations are made via the World Headquarters Website or their 800 number, they are for the program at large ... I think most of these are going to other parts of the world. If you want to donate funds specifically for USO Korea, please send directly to us, and we will use for the specific purpose desired.

Business donations are definitely okay."

there are links with addresses to many international and local chapters of the USO. anywhere you send it is fine with me. just be aware if you want to donate to USO/Korea, for example, you will need to mail them a check and specify you request. Mr. Stan Perry of USO/Korea assures me they will more than pleased to honor your request.

On Christmas I donated $150 through the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Will you match that?
Here is text from their effort "Operation Uplink";

"Operation Uplink is a unique program that keeps military personnel and hospitalized veterans in touch with their families and loved ones by providing them with a free phone card. Using contributions from supporters like you, Operation Uplink purchases phone cards and distributes them to servicemen and women who are separated from those they care about."
