Former "This Week" host and National Public Radio veteran Cokie Roberts blamed conspiracy filmmaker Michael Moore on Sunday for causing Sen. John Kerry to lose the presidential election.
"I think Michael Moore actually had a very major impact - a negative impact - on the Democratic Party," Roberts told NBC's "Chris Matthews Show."
"I think he exemplified all of the things that people hate about Democrats. And the fact that he was - it was a hate-America-first campaign and that hurts the Democrats every time."
Adding insult to injury, Roberts also contended that Moore's "physical appearance did not help."

Speaking of "the tendency to blame someone" -- maybe while Cokie is playing the blame game, she might want to talk about John Kerry and his band of VVAW goons who had her late father, Cong. Hale Boggs, on their hit list!

But, Cokie sweetheart, how 'bout your fellow newsie Dan Rather? Any opinion about how HE might have hurt your cause or do you think he helped?Perfectly true, but she'll never go there.

Good point! Well so much for the liberal/media elite, eh? Talk about an oxymoron. These folks are so thick they can't even see that they're embarrassing themselves. Again.

Roberts also contended that Moore's "physical appearance did not help." I guess it's true that you can't see Cokie in mirror. At least she can't. If they ever start enforcing restrictions on voting by necro-Americans, Cokie's gonna need a doctor's note to vote. She could be the lead in "Night of the Living Democrats". She looks like a dead woman, and I don't mean a fresh one either.

I love the sounds and sights of liberals going after each other in the morning.

RatherAnd..... maybe Cokie can blame the bloggers and FR ("a bastion of right wing lunacy" - LOL) for Kerry's loss.

Cokie Roberts with the vacant stare? That Cokie Roberts?
Truth to be known, young, fat people probably don't like old skinny people. So what's her point?
That the party she is in bed with, that she aided and abetted all these years, the party that nominated that tratorous imbicile, Kerry, and let it all hang out for all Americans to see, now needs a scape goat?
The bed she sleeps in with Soros, moveon.com, Kennedy, Hillary, Schumer, etal, is not now to her liking?
"Kookey" needs to get a life. No one is listening to her anymore.

In other words, Kookie agrees with most of us that Moore is a lying, vile, ignorant, pusilanimous, unkept fat disgusting slob.
I hear he's come out as a Hillary supporter now. Wonder how long it will be before he wakes up to find a horse's head in his bed.

If that were true we should build a statue of Moore. Truth is there were many, many reasons for Kerry to lose this election.
Personally I like to think of it as Divine Providence.

They conscienious chose to embrace Moorre and all his lies and venom. Perhapse the blame is less on Moore and rather squarely on those smarter-then-"Red Staters" like Mccaulffe, Kerry's campaign manager, and even Cokie herself who thought it was such a brilliant idea in the first place. I recall hearing zero voices among left leaders and self avowed liberal reporters ever conselling Kerry and the DNC to send Moore packing. If they thought any such thing they provided a disserive to their party by not speaking up then. Moore is what he is. But common sense and real insight among RAT leaders is what was apparently lacking.

Kerry lost because he was a lousy candidate who waffled constantly and stood for nothing........and it didn't help when Kerry brought up Cheney's daughter at the debate, and when Teraaaaaayza said that Laura never had a real job as an adult.
BRILLIANT moves.

I seem to recall her saying this before the election and of course Matthews and his lackeys scoffed at her. Especially Chrissy who was so sure Bush would be defeated.
