"we sought each other out to cheer the good news."Take no joy in the clinton impeachment. His behavior was a black mark in Presidential history. There is no joy in administering justice. It is an awesome responsibility....a responsibility the US Senate did not take seriously enough.

I take a great deal of joy in Clinton's impeachment. If ever a moment in history demanded a presidential impeachment legacy it was clearly the time when the Clinton's ran amok in the White House. There is great joy in administering justice and impeaching Clinton was justice. Clinton has his legacy and history will accept it even if the Clintonistas can't.

True. He should have been removed from the WH.

The Senate's handling of the impeachment was as bad as the Democrat party's handling of Bill Clinton.
Clinton brought out the worst in people and government. People still haven't figured out that if you want to burn out a building, do it on a windy day when the tear gas won't work.

A craven Senate did not do its job.

I took so much joy in that slimy piece of sub-human scum getting a little of the justice that he had so deftly avoided for the past 25 years, I didn't know what to do.
When the guilty are finally taken to task for their actions, everyone should celebrate.
Sadly, he did no time, paid no penance.
He's still the slimy piece of sub-human scum he always was, and he will not change.
I'd better stop right there, I feel a nasty rant coming.

I derived much joy from it -- from the fact that he was held (at least partially) accountable for his crimes and that the Constitution still works.
