They lied to America just as Clinton did... right on the TV screen. Their arrogance after-the-fact is exactly the same... and much like the impeached, accused rapist... they continue on their merry way.
May they be damned!

and therein lies the problem. heh Tommy, your suppose to report the facts nothing else. Your political agenda has defeated you.

Nice recap of the 'journalism' situation vis-a-vis this election.

Watched some of Bill Moyer's swan song last night on PBS and couldn't believe the condescending and self righteous tone of the piece (OS). He tried to portray the media as biased in favor of Bush and how the Swift Boat Vets were proven wrong. I was amazed that my tax dollars could actually go to support such drivel!

" ... Tom Brokaw suggested that there is no liberal media bias, and then asserted that liberal bias is an "obligation" of journalism. Journalists should "represent the views of those who are underrepresented in the social context, or the political context ... and that their wrongs get the bright light of journalistic sunshine."Anytime you begin to find yourself feeling sorry for these old media types, remember this twisted logic of Brokaw, and rejoice in the internet.
Thank you Algore

Of the three big anchors, I always considered Brokaw the fairest. That's not saying too much, since his competition was Jennings and Blather, but this is the same kind of pretzel logic the NY Times resorted to when they endorsed the Wicked Witch of the West Wing in 2000.

Wow.....now that's liberism.....justification of "I know better" arrogance.

"The liberal media are now working overtime to prove that 60 million Americans were stupid to re-elect Bush."LOL, I have noticed, believe me. It will be relentless until the next dem presidential candidate is chosen when they will turn their attention to getting that one elected.

What ever happened to CBS's investigation of itself?
To: johnny7
On Nov 2, the majority of the American people spoke on several important issues; who they wanted for president, what core values they still considered important and their feelings on the impartiality and legitimacy of our media. And on all three accounts, the libs got their asses handed to them.

The liberal media not only voted early, they voted often. The irony is that they are voting themselves out of jobs, as people stop listening to, reading, or watching their products.

You probably won't see the results of THAT investigation on 60 Minutes.

Whether they are theorizing over President Bush's debate "bulge," i could never figure out the logic of that particular conspiracy theory....that was the worst debate he had. if he had "help," it sure wasn't GOOD help.

I was a part of the scribbling profession for ten years. Not long enough for this concept to "take" apparently.
To: tom paine 2
I doubt I will see it in my lifetime.
To: johnny7
They're trying to tough it out, they think we'll get busy and forget about it. What they don't realize is that, although the American people are a forgiving people, we are not fools. When the average man starts speaking about having to read between the lines it's all over for them.
A pox on all their houses.

We need journalists who report the facts, and refuse to let those concepts "take."
