[ I was disappointed by lots of leaders, Bush the first, Rev Falwell, Rev Pat Robertson, Newt Gingrich, but never with Ross Perot. He articulated true leadership, and was abused and ridiculed by the right and the left. He was not a politician, and did not have the temperament of one. He was too straight, too honest, too much of common sense, too much of America first, too much NOT FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE! You cannot make it in that slimy place call Washington with these aptitudes. ]

I agree more or less..
However, the idiot did get Clinton elected..
Along with the "Read my lips no NEW taxes", bit of vaseline to grease up the ugh.. way for the Bent One to penetrate the White House..

You are correct. You must remember Bush first was not providing good leadership. He made fun of the "THE VISION THING"! Perot came in with good position to get America going again. As an outsider capturing about 20% of the vote, it was a miracle. It was the start of a third party that can compete. However, the entrenched bureaucracy, and lobbyists from both sides did not want give the gravy train. As you said, unfortunately, his action caused Clinton to get in. However, I have no idea how Clinton got reelected for a second time.
