THOMAS - Authorities Friday held a 15-year-old on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.
Deputies arrested Brandon T. Harris on Friday afternoon in Thomas, and were holding him as an investigation into events surrounding the early Thursday shooting continued.
Ryan Redbird, 16, was shot at the Nite Owl Motel, said Custer County Sheriff Mike Burgess.
Redbird was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital. His condition was not known Friday.
Harris' complaint will be upgraded to first-degree murder if Redbird dies, Burgess said Friday.
Authorities also arrested Brandon Bone, 18, on an accessory complaint.
The sheriff declined to discuss specifics about the shooting, except to say he thought the victim and his accused assailant knew one another.
"We have some ideas, but we aren't discussing it with anyone," Burgess said. "We still have a lot of investigating to do."

His mom was a friend of mine in school and two years ago last July, his sister Vanessa Youngbear and her 6-7 month baby in the womb was murdered by her "boyfriend" Trevor Benson when he shot her execution style with a shotgun to the head.
My kids knew Vanessa in school and my daughter talked with her alot, the same with Ryan.
Sure, they've had their problems but the family and the kids are good and decent.
Also, Brandon Bone, one of the kids arrested as an accessory. He probably was in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people but he is a good person, too, as well as his grandma and grandpa who have been raising him.
I don't know all of the circumstances but I don't think Brandon Bone has a bone in his body that would hurt someone intentionly.
So, please pray for Brandon bone, too.
Congratulations to our policeman and the Custer County Sheriff's Office, they've done a great job so far.
And to the Thomas School, Mr. Royalty in particular, for immediately locking down the school to protect the kids until the alleged shooter, Brandon Harris was caught.
They were afraid he'd show up at school and start shooting since he and his siblings had allegedly had alot of trouble at school in the short time they've been here.

Adding my prayers.
Due to the place he was shot at...groin, lower abdomen with a shotgun, IF Ryan is to live they might have to take his leg somehow due to the damage done to the artery in the abdomen, groin area.
Last we heard he'd came out of his second surgery yesterday afternoon in critial condition and had already went through 26+ pints of blood.
God, help Ryan pull through...
That much blood? He's in big trouble, and will need prayer to pull through. He's young, so I assume he's otherwise healthy, but this is the kind of case that may well require divine intervention. Poor kid. Poor mom. Prayers have already gone out. May His will be done, and may his will speed this child to a swift recovery, and provide comfort and strength to the poor mother, in her terrible suffering. Amen.
