What Became of All The Old Prodigy WW Board Folks
self

What became of all the fine folks that used to haunt the old Prodigy White Water Board. Obviouisly, JR came, er started this forum. And Ken Cook continues to add his two cents on beer. But what of the others, Missy Kelly, Bevery Specht, Karen Bixman, Preston Jackson, plus others that I can only remember first names or last names such as Miles (who passed away, but had a lady in his life who was also a prolific poster), there was another Missy besides Kelly, then caustic Judith, plus scores of others.

The board began to collaspe when other forums such as this began drawing folks from just beyond the proprietary limitations that the Prodigy's AOL's and Compuserve's limited their users to. Add to that, Prodigy closed it's classic service just before December 31, 1999 since it wasn't Y2k compatable. Almost 5 years ago.

I'd be interested to know if there's any old Prodigy Chat folks here from when Prodigy was known as "Prodigy Classic" before they went to "Prodigy Internet" and changed their boards around. Anyone here from the Classic boards CFR?

(Hope you dont mind me piggybacking a question, joe)

Heck no. It was quite a family. And those boards are what spawned this one.

I don't know about those fine old folks, but I do remember my fine old grandfather.

*****

Back in the old days, when Grandpa put horseradish on his head, people used to ask "what was he trying to do"?

The answer was ............ get it in his mouth.

I was here then. I changed my screen name in '98, because my old one used my real name. Jim Robinson performed a great service, because the information would never have gotten out without a central place to get it. The depth of the corruption of the Clintons is truly astounding. I don't know if some of the stories are all true, the Mena stuff and the coke parties and so on. The troopers as pimps stories and the Whitewater dealings all panned out by later events. I am astonished that Clinton was allowed to retire with dignity and go around pontificating for the rest of his days. One thing I wanted Bush to do when he came in was expose some of these things, but either Clinton had something on his family, or Bush just wanted to preserve the status accorded to ex-Presidents. Too bad. History will never know.
