DUBAI (Reuters) - Osama bin Laden has urged militants to concentrate their attacks on Iraqi and Gulf oil facilities, saying it was the most powerful weapon against America, said a transcript of a tape played on the Internet.

"Weakening America in Iraq economically, morally and through loss of life is a golden and unique opportunity that you should not waste so not to have remorse," said the tape.

The transcript was seen on Friday after the tape was posted on the Internet on Thursday.

"The main driving reason behind the enemy's hegemony over our countries is to steal our oil, so do your utmost to stop the biggest robbery of our resources in history," said the speaker on the tape.

After the tape was first posted on the Internet, an intelligence official in Washington said an analysis had determined with "high confidence" that the tape contained the voice of bin Laden.

"Be active and prevent them from getting hold of our oil and concentrate your operations on it (oil), in particular in Iraq and the Gulf," said the speaker.

In other parts of the tape, bin Laden praised gunmen who attacked a U.S. consulate in Saudi Arabia on Dec. 6 and warned Saudi rulers they could be toppled like the Shah of Iran.

If they want to cut off their sole source of income, let them. They want to live in the Stone Age, they can be our guests. Far from weakening the Great Satan, our enemies will be faced with the prospect of having thousands of years of work to do to catch up with us. And they never will if the Islamonazis follow Osama Bin Laden's advice - and you might say for the Arab World, its a gift that keeps on giving.

Please don't post a picture of that eternally doomed, murdering slime. I have a weak stomach.

I'd think targets are opposite the sites he chose, if he is still above room temp. and really speaking on the tape. Large AQ and Hamas terror cells are concentrated in refinery regions and should be considered high threats, especially in NJ, ARLATEX, and CA.

You gotta laugh at his rhetoric. Screw the very people who are out to help you. That certainly will win over converts. Osama, you are a genius. NOT!

"They want to live in the Stone Age, they can be our guests."

They hate the west and the US. But, who gave them: computers, the Internet, Satellite cell phones, jet plane travel, internal combustion engine, electricity. Did these guys invent anything that they use to try to kill us? Could they afford it unless we bought their oil?

Time to pursue hybrid cars and alternative energy. Cut off their main supply of wealth and watch them wither back into the sand.

A few years ago, in one of his moronic fatwah-wanna-be 'statements', bin Laden warned his followers not to attack Arab oil facilities because they were important sources of revenue for the Arab world. Now, he's urging that those facilities be attacked.

Just one more piece of evidence that he's been deeply cut by our moves against him and his organization. He's desperate.

He'll be ours sooner rather than later, I surmise.

I remember reading a quote from a soldier who a reporter was talking to over in Iraq. He said something like "the last significant thing these people invented was the number 0". I couldn't help but laugh at that, and it's true.
