Larry King is not doing the questioning. Some "attorney-wannabe" reporter is interrupting his answers.

"Jury ruled I had the right to shoot..protect myself...but I didn't have the right to CARRY the gun". That just about sums it up for me. I think he ultimately spent 1 year in jail.

The interviewer is worthless. If she thinks the four men he shot were such victims then perhaps she should offer to take those four sweeties in to her home and take care of them.
To: drt1

the only one of those scumbags that DIDN'T goto jail for crimes committed AFTER they were shot was the one in the wheelchair... ALL the rest did or are doing prison time!!!

as I recall, one of them died of AIDS, but I could be wrong.

I think you are misreading hr stance. I'm getting just the opposite - IMO She appears to me to be quite sympathetic to Goetz' situation and as far as I can see is letting him tell it his way.

Her fiance was murdered, which prompted her to go to law school and eventually became a prosecutor in Georgia before becoming a "talking head" that she is today.

The "attorney-wannabe" was a prosecutor for many years. She does a good job on Court TV, and she knows what she is talking about.

Of the four "victims" that day on the subway train, the one who ended up in a wheelchair was the only one who wasn't lated convicted and imprisoned for a violent crime somewhere in the city within the next five years or so.

Concur. I usually like Nancy but she would not shut up!!
Goetz couldn't get one sentence out before Grace would interrupt. It's as if she had a list of questions she had to ask him.
Good Grief, and the endless "Don't you regret, have second thoughts, about shooting the thugs?"
She must have asked this question in various forms about 20 times.

Acutually all of them were arrested and charged with violent crimes before Bernard Goetz was tried. -
