"The first ten Amendments of the Constitution were done to secure the rights of the people to be free from the tyranny of the state. Only the left-wing says the 2nd Amendment was for the many and not the one."

In essense you are right but the tenth amendment secures the rights of the states over the feds. It's a minor point but be prepared for it if you want to argue this case.

The rights of the states were never meant to supercede federal authority. It was only meant to keep the federal government from becoming...well, what it is today.
