Just a platform to spew hate about the previous year and vent about their team blowing another election, IMHO.
To: GSlob
Bush bashing. Bush can be "man of the year" and everyone can ponder how this evil "man of the year" thrives. Trust me ... Time is liberal ... they'll find a way to bash him.

the 9/11 Commission
that would fit perfectly. If I heard one more time from them that unless the Intel Bill were passed, we were sure to be attacked and hopelessly vulnerable I would have wretched. They wanted soooo bad to make the point that 9/11 was the president's fault and the only way to overcome his incompetence was to either elect Kerry (or nameless Dem) and pass their stupid Bill. Mentioning Big Dog's lack of response to Al-Qaeda in the 90's is not permitted, however.

Being person of the year doesn't give him enough credit.....try person of the century.

Then I won't add to their bottom line. I'll just wait and five finger it from some doctors office.

I don't know how much Time Magazine costs on the news stand anymore, but whatever it is - $2.00, $3.00, $5.00 -- surely that money will be better spent on lottery tickets.Typically, I might actually go spring for a copy of a mag with this type of cover story - but you make a good point, and I'll spend it on something I very seldom have before instead - lottery tickets.

Does the watch wind up or run on battery's. Cause I'll donate what ever it takes. :o)

If TIME names Bush as it's MOTY, trust me, their rationale will not be flattering. Great care will be given to equate his nomination with other historical villains.
And I bet TIME will pick up on the "Rove is Bush's Brain" insult, so favored by the left.

I meant they assume anyone voting for Bush is dumb enough to buy their rag simply because his picture is on the cover.

Bush bashing. Bush can be "man of the year" and everyone can ponder how this evil "man of the year" thrives. Trust me ... Time is liberal ... they'll find a way to bash him. They'll either use an unflattering caricature (perhaps by Oliphant) or an unflattering photo on the cover as one way to bash.

My guess it will be Bush, with Rove in the background. It will be a lame "Bush's Brain" kind of treatment.
Bush will be Person of the Year "because he was reelected, even though he is the most divisive leader in the history of the world; most people don't like him and oppose him on every issue."

Maybe THEIR concept of the "Bush Voter" will be the person of the year!
Composite photo of white angry male, holding a Bible (with his G.E.D. stuck inside the cover), missing front teeth, wearing a "Budweiser #8" jacket, 9MM stuck inside his belt, standing in front of his pickup truck with a dead deer on the hood.
Wow, that sounds just like all of us, don't you think?

I suppose they'll be a picture of Abu Ghraib included on the cover.
