Worst thing I ever did to my sister was to clamp a jumper cable on her rear end. I got to choose my own switch.

"We think he's just maybe playing out his anger," Ronny Jones said. "He's got problems right now because of his father walking out." Well he's got to get over it real quick. Sounds like he was trying to kill his sister.

Just damn! I think the girl is probably alive because the creeped-out brother picked up the gun. The gun jammed after one shot. If he'd used a kitchen knife, it's much more likely that he would have killed her.

Caleb's grandparents said their grandson seems to have little remorse for what he's done. They're not even sure if he even realizes he nearly used a bullet to end to his sister's life.I'm sorry but a six year old ought to be real clear about this. My five year old already understands about dying and has a real clear idea about what guns do.
Unless the kid is severely retarded, he knows exactly what he did.
To: Ellesu
apparently her 6-year-old brother had went to the mother's bedroom, where a cabinet was located. The 6-year-old then grabbed a hold of the rifleAaaaaah, literacy !

"The particular gun he used is so old it won't eject any empty shells," Ronny Jones said. "Therefore, you have to take a knife or something and dig the empty shell out before you can reload."
It is time to retire this particular gun before someone else gets hurt.

Absolute idiots. I'm sure the barrel is in no better condition. Aside from all the basic safety precautions, what are they even doing with a gun in this kind of condition? Did they never hear the term 'jam' as in the bullet getting jammed in the corroded barrel and the next shot causing an explosion?

How does a 6 year-old kid know how to use a real gun? And why were they in such an easily accessible place - with ammo??

This kid isn't ever going be right again (if he was before). No amount of counseling is going to fix it. This girl is doomed if he ever gets to come home. How could you ever sleep again with him around?

so all the boy had to do was grab the gun, load it, and shoot it. Definately an accident.
Gun locks would have prevented this, loading can sometimes happen spontaneously.

Another statistic of the "Do Your Own Thang And It's All Nobody's Business" adult-centric culture which the moral-liberals have foisted upon society.

Caleb, will soon undergo extensive counseling.Hopefully as an in-patient in a secure facility.
