TFP Student Action Launches Protest
Scandalizing students nationwide, 518 colleges and universities intend to allow performances of the lewd "V***** Monologues" play on their campuses, a piece replete with sexual encounters, lust, graphic descriptions of masturbation and lesbian behavior.
Perhaps the most disturbing fact is that dozens of prominent Catholic universities have permitted this play on campus year after year during the months of February and March, including Georgetown University, University of Notre Dame, Saint Louis University, Saint Francis University, Fordham University, Loyola Marymount University and others.
It is difficult to fathom how any Catholic institution of higher learning would give open forum to this play, which explicitly condones mortal sin, and promotes the corrosive agenda of the sexual revolution on campus.

"Our next step will be to contact Catholic university officials where the "V***** Monologues" is scheduled and ask them to immediately cancel the immoral play," said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie. " We hope to generate one million protest messages with this campaign."
Protests are effective. In fact, 16 Catholic colleges canceled the play earlier this year because of protests. Hundreds of protest letters, e-mails, and phone calls flooding into university offices can cause public relations nightmares for college presidents. TFP applauds the university officials that banned the play.
Concerned Catholic Parents
Catholic parents with children at these institutions are deeply distraught. Many assume their tuition goes towards a good "Catholic" education, that somehow guarantees their children's formation in matters of Faith and morals. However, by allowing events such as the lustful "V***** Monologues" on Catholic campuses, administration officials send mixed messages to students, and jeopardize students' Faith.
Bishop Criticizes Production
Bishop John M. D'Arcy of the Fort Wayne-South Bend diocese, Indiana, criticized the "V***** Monologues" in a two-page statement published earlier this year. He said it should have never played at the University of Notre Dame. "The play violates the truth about women, the truth about sexuality, the truth about male and female and the truth about the human body."
Bishop D'Arcy continues: "Freedom in the Catholic tradition, and even in the American political tradition, is not the right to do anything. Freedom in the academy is always subject to a particular discipline. It is never an absolute Freedom in the Catholic tradition is not the right to do this rather than that. That would be an entirely superficial idea of freedom Freedom is the capacity to choose the good."
Will Catholic colleges listen?

Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski: Uh, is that what this is a picture of?
Maude Lebowski: In a sense, yes. My art has been commended as being strongly vaginal which bothers some men. The word itself makes some men uncomfortable. Vagina.
Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski: Oh yeah?
Maude Lebowski: Yes, they don't like hearing it and find it difficult to say whereas without batting an eye a man will refer to his dick or his rod or his Johnson.
Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski: Johnson?
They want to call it,
"Mary's Easy-Bake Oven" --
a more sacred phrase . . .
Hmm...I think the proper term for that is "anus." I don't use the word you used to describe that body part.
Any unmarried woman reading this thread is able to clearly see how important it is to choose a man to marry who holds strongly to what the Bible says, believes it with all his heart, reads it every day. A woman's self image is from God, He is her maker and He told us that a husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the Church. So a man should have as his goal to see and view that woman as God does, holy and sacred. Anything short of God's vision of her is well.... no good. The best man to marry is a godly man who is trying everyday to see you as God does and loves you as much as Christ loves the Church.
These schools are caving in to their "Women Studies" programs. Geez, they can study and examine whatever pornography that happens to appear as "women's studies," but PUTTING IT ON AS A PRODUCTION glorifies, celebrates and validates it.
They know better. It's just their hatred of men and themselves disguised as RELATIVE MORALITY. Disgusting.
I think it's self-hatred, which comes out in hatred of men and hatred of their faith. The self-hatred fuels the poor-me victim attitude. That spawns the blame-game. Who better to blame than the ole white Euro men of Christianiaty? Who better to blame than the Church?
That's my read for many of the men hating "Women's Studies" progtams. I think that the many ethic studies programs promote self-glorification at the expense of hatred of "others," which, in all cases in THIS country is straight, white Euro-males. Women, are de facto excluded from the hate list because they too are "victims."
What really bothers and shocks me is the way some people posted vulgar comments or innuendoes about this immoral V-Monologues production. They giggle about something serious and that is why the left-wing, feminists find such pathetic opposition to their agenda -- because of giggling men who lack the backbone to be modest and pure, which takes courage and lots of it. I thought this web site attracted rather conservative people. I must be wrong, unless by conservative they wish to conserve the mentality of the sexual revolution now infecting society, especially on our college campuses. What total lack of modesty, respect and purity. What will become of the conservative movement without morality? Will there be any hope for America, if we dont practice what we preach? Who will have the guts to set the example of modesty for the next generation? You can only lead by example, and Im afraid some of the posts above reflect a sad state of affairs in matters of modesty. God help us.
I knew a girl from Va. Gina was her name....
You have said it like it is. Good for you.
Let the gigglers, both genders and all ages, take note.
Sometimes I sound like a wet blanket. However, with things that are important to me, like this issue, I don't care. I sound out, just like you do.
Don't stop.
And yes, God help us.

Higher Learning Reaches New Low with Vulgar "V***** Monologues"
True. But a play called "The Vagina Monologues" is.
It attracts conservatives and libertarians/libertines.
