Judge Says Leftist Professor 'Terrorized' Minorities

Juicy new details about that intolerant California professor who got a year in prison for faking a "hate crime" against herself: The judge denounced her for "terrorizing" minority students.

Pomona Superior Court Judge Charles Horan further slapped down psychology professor Kerri Dunn because she "turned the rest of the students into suspects, adding that her actions could have sparked major racial violence," NBC Channel 4 reported in Los Angeles. "He likened her actions to calling in a fake bomb threat, saying it had the effect of terrorizing people."

Deputy District Attorney Martin Bean agreed. "From what I saw in the press, I think the judge accurately characterized the way things occurred on campus."

Defense attorney Gary Lincenberg chimed in: "The court made a point, in the court's view, it's had a large disruptive effect on campus and had a significant effect. I don't think he was trying to call her a terrorist."

Miss Dunn's parents unsuccessfully asked the judge if they could bring the shrink back home to New Jersey to get her mental help.

Prediction 1: She will write a book while incarcerated that will get optioned to Hollywood.

Prediction 2: She will be on talk shows and heralded as a heroine.

Prediction 3: She will get a tenured university position.

I understand where you're coming from but in this case I think you're wrong on all three counts. Dunn seriously embarrassed the (female, far left) chancellor at Claremont, was only there in the first place as a temporary prof., is a 38 year old newbie prof. with a spotty academic record, and garnered a rep among her collegues as a nutjob even before this incident.

She will find it just about impossible to get hired again, let alone get a tenured track job. I doubt she'll get a book deal or make the talkshow circuit either.

You forgot:

Prediction 4: Her part will be played by Vanassa Williams in a blockbuster movie, and who will will subsequently win an Oscar (which she will humbly, tearfully accept, but only after acknowledging the herculean efforts of her character to overcome systemic racism).

Hi All-

According to courtroom witnesses, Judge Horan likened Dunn's actions to that of the "September 11th terrorists," which seems waaaayy over-the-top to me.

The case was decided on the testimony of witnesses, with several in complete opposition. From what I've read, there was no scientific evidence (e.g. fingerprints, chemical analysis, tire marks, video, photos, etc.) brought into the case. She is a lefty, no doubt...but I am equally concerned about the wrong person being sentenced to prison because we don't agree with her radically liberal viewpoints.

The woman clearly has some major internal demons to overcome, but placing her in the same category with the murderers of 3000 innocent people is completely absurd. This professor will likely have plenty of time to consider changes in her life over the next few months.
