I'm saddened to say that Christmas Vacation will have to come off our holiday DVD rotation. Might be the last good movie he made.
It's really too bad that these actors and entertainers feel the need to let us all know where they stand. It's getting to the point where I can't watch flicks or listen to music anymore. It's not that I feel a need to "boycott" them, it's just that I can't stand to see their faces or hear their voices.

You can still watch Christmas vacation. Geez, if you quit watching movies and listening to the music of every left wing idiot your play list would consist of 3-4 movies and half a dozen songs.
Better approach is not to pay for anything. I have no problem downloading the likes of John Mellencamp. I will never put a dime in his/their pockets though. The only one that I cannot tolerate is Babs, wouldn't waste 15 seconds to down load her crap.

I feel exactly the same way! I can't stomach their presence in my personal space anymore.
Oh go ahead and watch his dumb movie! It'll just be a reminder of what he is (or was) - an actor. Actor. Not President, not even any kind of elected representative of anything. Just a "schmuck" who gets paid for saying lines on cue, kinda like a trained monkey that makes you laugh. I'd just use this as an opportunity to teach your kids the concept of "Shut up and Sing" and how to put the yammering of Hollywood and other performers in proper perspective.
I'm adding Chevy to my "useful idiot/do not watch list" along with Sarandon,Streisand,Sean Penn,etc...Too bad, i realy enjoyed the NL Vacation movies(esp Beverly DeAngelo).
