Buy RED!!! (democrat companies to boycott this Christmas)

Posted on 12/16/2004 2:30:32 AM PST by Capitalism2003

hey folks, I just found these left wing websites, listing many companies along with their political donations. They are encouraging libs to buy from democrat companies and boycott Republican companies.

Let's turn the tables on them and support the patriotic corporations of RED America.

Use these sites as a guide:

Buy Blue (Red!)

and Choose the Blue

I tell you what...Let's NOT!!!

Remember that there are many RED Staters living/working in these states and for these companies who are trying to make an honest living. A boycott such as this is really too far reaching to be effective and can only have unintended consequences. Save the boycott enthusiasm for thos companies who take specific action against conservative values.

Look at the boycott of South Carolina by the NAACP...how effective was that? And that is just a microcosm of what you're proposing here...

Don't think of it as a boycott then. Think of it as SUPPORTING conservatives. If you really need something from a blue company, buy it...but if given the choice, it is certainly better to support republican owned businesses.

Who buys at any of those "blue" stores anyway?

Yeah, I noticed that Sharper Image is in the Blue category, but they advertise on FOX non-stop....kind of an oxymoron, isn't it?

Just when I think that they've reach the highest possible level of idiocy they shock me by discovering yet another level. I can understand the desire to "battle" them on this, but I can't imagine the effect being anything but detrimental to kooks and saints alike.

Hey Admin Moderator,
I posted an article similiar to this one a few weeks ago (mine had a site about buying American) - and it got yanked due to "solicitation". I freep-mailed and asked why, got no response. So my question is - what's the policy?

The parent company of Bath & Body Works donates to Republicans. I was VERY surprised because I'm pretty sure its founder was a bigtime environmentalist. But, hey, I'm an environmentalist too, and it does takes all kinds.

I am not buying into the liberal notion that there are two Americas. My 84 year old Mother voted democrat. Maybe I should boycott her?

I even *gasp* shop at Target. I like the merchandise and I like the prices. The stores are neat and clean, and I never have to wait in a long line. Like you, I generally ignore boycotts.

Wishing you a safe return from Iraq.

thanks...

I never went to Target anyway, but my wife still does.

If I need something I will probably go to Wal Mart or Best Buy, depending on what it is....

Auto Ignore: A total lack of interest in this subject on my behalf has triggered Auto Ignore. Attempts to drag me into a discussion on this subject are futile. I am boycotting boycotts!

Oops, Target donates mostly to Republicans, but many are boycotting because of their recent decision to not allow Salvation Army bell ringers in front of the stores. ...I still shop there, as well as Wal-Mart. Bought the Lord of the Rings Return of the King extended DVD set at Best Buy on Tuesday. Best price on that in town...

A lot more than what party they donate to should be considered.

For every dollar the parishoners purchase from some of these companies they remit back to our Church 5% to 25%

Tough, they should quit and find decent Red States jobs! (/sarcasm off)

The only reason why I shop at Target is that I get a 10% discount (my wife works for Target).

Alot of us do...unfortunately they're nicer stores, with better quality merchandise.
