I would have asked to see the manager so I could pass on to him my intention to walk away from TGIF and never return, and of course to make it clear why.

I've eaten there like twice, never was a fan. Overpriced, badly cooked fast-food.

I recently ate at a Cracker Barrel and was delighted to see not only a huge Christmas tree but on the mantle above the fireplace was a nativity along with some other Christmas decorations. I made a point of saying something positive to the manager about it!
While we certainly need to speak up when we don't like what we see (or don't see, as the case may be), we need to be sure to express approval for those who still acknowledge Christmas and especially those who realize that "Jesus is the reason for the season".
And I also recently was shopping at a Hobby Lobby and was sure to drop a little extra in the Salvation Army kettle outside the door ... :-)

Just what does the G in TGI Fridays stand for anyway? Not goodness, and certainly not God...

they have adopted a new change in wardrobe (i.e. the new black shirt and black pants instead of red and white striped shirts and pins and buttons) What? No more flair?

On a positive note, I'm starting to see Christmas being mentioned in store ads the last few days. Maybe the retailers are panicking? The Home Depot sent out a circular mentioning Christmas at least 3 times where before it was all about "Holiday" trees and "Holiday" decorations.

I guess your waitress wasn't serious about her "pieces of flair"
I'd rather go to Flingers

No great loss, I've always thought their food sucks. Especially those Jack Daniels/molasses covered meals, ugh!

I hate, Hate, HATE, loathe, despise and did I mention HATE Fridays!
Bad service, long waits, no accommodation for large parties, sullen servers and managers and really bad food.
Did I mention I HATE the place!?!

My jaw about hit the floor. There it was...in 100% color...Friday's has buckled and sucked it up to the PC police Just curious, but should businesses not have the right to refrain from putting up decorations? Seems to me it's their business, and their choice. And their patrons can choose whether or not to eat there.

Oh, I wanted to ask you. Did the people you spoke to say that this was a corporate-wide policy, or is this a local thing?

As someone who worked as a waiter for a number of years, I was amazed that there weren't more former waiter serial killers from listening to Christmas music from Thanksgiving through New Years!
