Understood.
I've only given my e-addy to people I 'know' here on FR.
Haven't handed it out in awhile, and haven't checked my e-torture in awhile.
(oops)
Guess I should do that now.

You start out your screed by trying to examine why we deserved to be attacked on 9/11.
With logic like that you don't even need to show that your buddy Saddam was innocent.
Got one of these tracts on how the Jews weren't really gassed in WWII that begins by telling of the evil Jewish conspiracy that thrust Germany into financial problems?
What an evil mind you possess to justify such horror.

"Our policies, even before our independence in 1776, has gradually created a world in which we do not realize what people around the world are really feeling about us and we have not tried to solve problems in the budding stages before they become huge problems which lead to war."
You seem to be willing to give Sadaam more slack and "understanding"; than our own dear homeland. That said; why is it so important what people around the world are "really feeling about us?"
The Holy Scriptures (the real ones) say in the epistle of James 4:
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
There we have the the glimmer of an answer. Mens' lust and desire for things they don't have that belong to others is a central cause for war. That is something that liberalism will never, despite all of its do good intentions, be able to bargain or finesse away through negotiation. Believe it or not, there is a time for war. This is that time.
Please don't flush our storied history as a nation down the drain as being summarily wrong in policy since prior to 1776! Stop and think about how demoralizing (and dull-witted) your comments are to other fellow citizens that you now (perhaps unwittingly, yet) callously disrespect the blood of our sacrificing countrymen from that day to the present conflict.

"I am sure you agree that peace is a lot better than war."
No I cannot agree to that. lets try this:
"I once felt all that kind of anger, which a man ought to feel, against the mean principles that are held by the Tories: a noted one, who kept a tavern at Amboy, was standing at his door, with as pretty a child in his hand, about eight or nine years old, as I ever saw, and after speaking his mind as freely as he thought was prudent, finished with this unfatherly expression, "Well! give me peace in my day." Not a man lives on the continent but fully believes that a separation must some time or other finally take place, and a generous parent should have said, "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace;""
~Thomas Paine: Crisis~
December 23,1776
How thoughtful is your statement to future generations? When should we have faced terrorists, and the likes of Saddam Hussein? When they manage to invade our nation with their weapons of war? When they have completely disarmed us will we then be capable of dealing with their threat? Their positions are all obviously against American interests, why should we delay?
Peace is not better than war when the peace is bought with the price of chains and slavery!!!
