And when you punch someone for swearing, you will go to jail. I doubt that you will be able to do much about the swearing you encounter there.

Time and place friend. There is a time and place for everything. I'm no prude. But when I'm in a restaurant with family, I won't stand for that type of behavior.
Go to jail? Not a threat.

Did you know that the charge was disorderly conduct, not assault?

Actually swearing in some situations can land you in jail. It is illegal in some states to use foul language in public, or in public around kids. I remember a guy in a canoe got taken to court several years back for swearing in public.
This man should have made a citizens arrest :)

And when you punch someone for swearing, you will go to jail.A Good Punch In The Nose
You may be right, but something valuable has been lost since a good crisp punch in the nose to an A-hole became so socially unacceptable that criminal charges are the norm.

No one was punched in this story. The loud mouth punk, Lil' Jesse Tabor, age 40, was humiliated, but not punched, by 79 year old Bill Stevenson. Evidently, Lil' Jesse Tabor has a big mouth but nothing with which to back it up. Typical of many, but not all, from the baby boomer generation.
Remember, read the entire article, no matter how much you like to skip the important stuff. And in your case, read slowly and repeat until comprehension is achieved.
