Whooda thunk that UCLA would have had an "African Studies" program WAY back in the early 60's. I didn't think that discipline existed until later.

Perhaps it was a REAL discipline then of learning the continent's politics, geography, culture, languages, etc., to prepare for diplomatic service.

When he dies, the entire "holiday" will die with him. NO ONE will care. It will be a cult asterick some place in some esoteric book, sold "used" on Amazon.com.

He simply can't compete against the birth of Christ. He THINKS he can; but he can't. If he/they were smart he/they would move the "holiday" to sometime in the spring or summer when the "festivals" can be out-of-doors and thus more marketable.

This was/is always his major flaw: arrogance.
