It ended horribly after Regan learned Kerik's wife was pregnant.Reminds me of a woman I knew who was having an affair with a baseball player over thirty years ago.

Bad people often do good work...for a time. Their lack of moral character always catches up with them in the end. Even if these revelations had not come out, Kerik would have tripped himself up, in time. Thankfully, he didn't get a chance to do it while serving as a Cabinet Secretary.

The Kerik-Regan pairing may look unlikely — she's Vassar-bred, he's a high-school dropout. I fail to see why these two would be considered and unlikely pair. He never learned and she got it learned out of her going to a liberal bastion.
