She's almost right. It's network news in general that represents an antiquated way of thinking. The New Deal stopped being the most wonderful thing in history many long years ago. ;)
Couric would be an absolute disaster as a news anchor on the evening news. I don't want Perky
She got the ax because she insulted everybody involved in the OKC bombing rescue process.
Connie Chung, isn't she the one that lied to the elderly mother of Newt??
so who cares what connie-the-commie thinks? She was a horrid journalist and stands less chance than I do of landing the job.
but let's keep that "just between you and I", shall we?
When she and Rather we're co-anchors everyone could tell Rather absolutely hated it.
That's so true.
And may I add, Msssssssss Chung is boring, irrelevant, and sooooooo passe.
Now on with the show!
May we see the next post please?
So now the sex card has been played. How long before someone plays the race card? I think the best person should get the job regardless of race or sex but then I am a conservative. It is funny how these liberals always seem to hire white males for all the important jobs then tell us all how much we need affirmative action.
Would Connie be happy if CBS hired Sharon Stone as their head newsreader?
They can't even come up with any fresh lies. Anytime a woman says this, watch out. She acts like there are no women broadcasters on TV at all, at any level. I'm tired of libs' victim mentality. Sheesh.
OMGosh! The Dark Ages, even. Has she noticed how high Condi Rice,a woman, has risen? Of course not. She doesn't count. She's a republican.
"I don't know when network executives will get out of the Dark Ages...It's long overdue."
If Chung is so scary talented and cognizant of what's wrong with network leadership, why isn't she in charge?
I think Monica Crowley would be an excellent news anchor any ANY station, alphabet or cable.
You mean Connie "Come closer, whisper in my ear - just between me and you" Chung?
"I have no hard feelings," she told the Inquirer. "I have this very strange difficulty remembering the bad times. It's OK to remember the good times."
Asked what good times she recalled sharing with Rather, Chung replied,"I can't remember."
Telling tale. Can't remember Rather favorably at all.
BWWWAAAAAAAAAA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Connie's got it all wrong. If the execs thought a monkey would get higher ratings, they'd put one on. Unfortunately, both she and the execs have missed the boat in that the network newscasts are dying and changing the messenger isn't going to do any good. People aren't lsitening because of the message!
