First it isn't amnesty, it's a guest worker program that brings some order to a broken system. Remember the immigration problem didn't start until the dismantling of the bracero(guest worker program) in the mid 60's.

Exactly. Just like Howard Dean was on television talking about how democrats go to church and believe in God and aren't all pro-abortion --- we're going to see the democrats make a couple steps to the right which should easily get them to the right of many Republicans. I couldn't believe it but I even heard democrats talk about the need to cut government spending.
