At today's White House news briefing, WND asked presidential press secretary Scott McClellan about reports of vandalism of Christmas displays and lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

WND: What is the president's reaction to the record number of vandalisms of Christian Christmas displays across the country and the widespread removal of Christianity from college and store holiday displays?

McCLELLAN: I haven't kept track of the number of vandals – vandalism that's gone on. But, obviously, we would condemn any vandalism.

WND: Does the president agree or disagree with Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association in his statement that if lawsuits against gun manufacturers for crimes of a third party are allowed to continue, the nation will have to rely on foreign corporations to supply our firearms?

McCLELLAN: I think the president's position on liability issues of that nature has been previously stated. And we've made it very clear.

WND: That you're opposed to those?

McCLELLAN: We've made our view very clear.

That's a pretty tepid "condemnation." It doesn't even qualify as a "slightly-miffed."
