Speaking Russian, hmmm. Chechens? The scenario is starting to remind me of Basayev.
It is worth noting that the last time this happened the hijackers were shot dead, and one passenger also died.
I think the police have been very methodical in taking control of the situation and isolating the bus. (they were also lucky that these hijackers did not know how to dive a bus after the driver escaped.)
