I can't find it in my heart to speak against Tenet. I know he is a Clinton holdover, and other people may have served better if they had held the position instead. IMO, he's a decent guy.
And, For whatever it's worth, I think he respects the President for not tagging the burden of 9-11 on his head and keeping him on the job. Clinton would have destroyed Tenet to save his own skin. I respect that the President didn't allow the man to be the fall guy for the actions of murderous terrorists, and respect Tenet for recognizing the character of this President in the aftermath. Bush could well of saved this man's life by not dismissing him.
Have no quibble with Bremer receiving the award but Franks is my personal favorite.
Looking forward to tomorrow for the airingof the W.H. Christmas special.

Very well put I think you could well be very right, and the action of GWB is so typical of him he values loyalty greatly but not just to him but he also shows it the other way a gracious man.
