No she was not found insane... she was found GUILTY of murder. The jury chose to give her life instead of the death penalty.

I stand corrected, but the reason the jury chose life was due to her obvious insanity. She has a serious mental condition.

Although prosecutors acknowledged Yates was mentally ill, the jury decided she knew her actions were wrong.

Here's what I think. Her husband knew his wife was a real wacko job. Maybe he knew she would do it and thats why he left them there with his wife. His wife would be in jail or get the death penalty, with his kids out of the way. He could start a new life, and as you can see he has done just that. The husband did not appear to be upset at the lost of his kids, no emotions, no sorry.
And they claim insanity, Please!! this B*tch knew exactly what she was doing. For one thing she has filled up the tub before, but didn't go through with it, and second, she took their pet to the vets office, and then waited until her husband had go work, then went around and locked all the door in the house so her kids could not get out of the house. And thats when she drowned them, insanity, I don't think so. I hope this haunts her for the rest of her life, if she has soul. And that damn lawyer who defended him how he can sleep at night I will never know. And those kids grand parents pleading for her, including her own in-laws. All I can say how do they sleep at night knowing she snuffed out the lives of those innocent kids. I hope this haunts them all.
