Of course, but we have the right to defend ourselves, AND the right to find another place to shop.

Sure, and gun owners have the right to patronize other establishments as well. If they want to create self-defense-free zones, gun owners should shop somewhere else.

Does Costco have the right to control access to their property? Yes, they do have a right to control who enters their property. That having been said, neither you nor I have any obligation to obey that request. Unless the signs they post have metal detectors in them they have no enforcement.
I recently joined our local Costco, despite knowing it is owned by a rabid-dog demonrat. If our store posts such sign I will immediately apply for a concealed carry permit after having procrastinated for far too many months, and enter the store and defy those signs to detect my concealed weapon.
Kind of like the idea of civil disobedience. That's something the crazed demonrat owner of Costco should understand.

Does Costco have the right to control access to their property? Can Costco not allow blacks access to their property?
Can Costco not allow homosexuals to their property?
Can Costco not allow Catholics to their property?
Can Costco not allow Republcans to their property?
This "Freedom" thing gets a bit confusing at times!

Send the Sierra Club an anonymous email stating that COSTCO is built on endangered wetlands, and the mating habits of the spotted tree snail are at risk.
Then write the EPA and let them know that portions of the building leak hydrogen dioxide and it could be an enviromental hazard.
If all that fails, just boycott the $h!t out of them.

Depends on the State laws on CCW. In Texas the business DOES have the right to disallow entry w/CCW.
